  • I have been collecting Caribbean ocean tumbled pottery For 17 years. At one time they were ceramic & clay - vessels, bricks or tiles.  Over years of tumbling in ocean and sand, their edges are smoothed & re-shaped. I create a variety of handmade ceramic necklaces from them, like this rare & unusual clay pendant necklace.

The chunky ocean pottery pendant on this unusual necklace, is handmade with a triangular- shaped, red clay tile that has a - wonderful, fun & rare - vibrant green pattern on it. This piece of rare green ocean pottery, is wrapped with shiny copper wire and hangs on a buttery soft, brown natural leather cord.

The ocean pottery pendant on this unusual clay necklace is large. It measures 2 3/8" long. The soft, natural leather cord from which it hangs is adjustable.  Pulling the cord & end beads, expands & shortens the length.  It can be worn as short or as a long necklace.  When worn on your salty & irie ride, the copper on this clay, unusual ceramic surfer necklace will naturally patina.  All of the water bound beads & pendants, used in my women's & men's, cool surfer necklaces, are lacquered for endurance.  This clay ocean pottery pendant is too.

If your "Shopping Vieques" for an unusual Vieques souvenir, this cool surfer, ocean pottery necklace makes an unusual gift for a bohemian surf hippie, or wannabe. It is also handmade in a hammock, with the natural good ju ju of Vieques Island, Puerto Rico.

From my - contemporary tribal, ethnic, chic, hippie & beach - bohemian jewelry collection, this unusual ocean pottery necklace is one of many handmade, unusual jewelry creations found in my ceramic jewelry, ocean pottery jewelry, surfer jewelry and long necklace collections, here at beadingbikini.com.
